ACMin Newsletter - November 2014

Season of Thanks

Always give thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Eph 5:20). Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever (Ps 9:1). Give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind. (Ps 107:8). We will give thanks to you, Lord, with all our hearts; we will tell of all your wonderful deeds. We praise you Lord and forget not all your benefits (Ps 103:2). We will give thanks to you Lord because of your righteousness; we will sing the praises of the name of the Lord Most High (Ps 17:7), give thanks and sing praises at the gates of your dwelling (2 Chron 31:2). The trumpeters and musicians join in unison to give praise and thanks to the Lord (2 Chron 5:13). Thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Cor 15:7). Whatever we do, whether in word or deed, we do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him (Col 3:17)!

Meet Jonathan Tarbutton

We're happy to introduce to you one of our new students, Jonathan Tarbutton. Pray for him as he pursues God's plan of preparation for his life through the ACMin.

Tell us about yourself: I come from a large family, ahd have walked with the Lord from a young age. I have a heart to help see people restored in mind, heart and body, and to share my own testimony of what God has done in my life.

Describe your calling to ministry: I have a calling to minister to women who have been caught up in the sex trade. I also have a deep desire to counsel people, and see people set free. My deepest desire is to help people with their problems and be the light of Christ.

How did you decide to enroll at the ACMin: It was exactly what I was looking for - small classes, strong academics, and a strong devotion to the Lord. I can get the spiritual training, academics,  and better healing training which is something I am deeply passionate about.

How do you plan to use what you are learning at the ACMin: In my future work with trafficked women, and counseling the hurting and the broken. I plan to eventually open my own counseling practice.
