Why the ACMin?

The ACMin was founded in order to prepare both degree-seeking and part-time students in preparation for Christian ministry. The college provides an opportunity for students to engage in real ministry supported by coursework in a Christian environment with instructors qualified to provide biblically-centered teaching.


Who may attend the Athens School of Ministry and Worship Arts?

You. We enroll both traditional and non-traditional students—any believer interested in deepening his or her personal relationship with God and learning more about how to serve and lead in the Kingdom.

What is the difference between the Athens College of Ministry and a seminary?

Seminaries are uniquely graduate institutions, often affiliated with a specific denomination. ACMin offers flexible undergraduate and graduate programs that prepare students to answer the call to church-affiliated ministry or ministry in other career areas. ACMin graduates with a bachelor’s degree will be qualified for full-time vocational ministry in some denominations. Graduates will have gained practical experience through their real-life ministry apprenticeships.

What doctrinal beliefs are taught at the Athens College of Ministry?

ACMin is an interdenominational college, focusing on the core Christian doctrine of salvation through belief in the resurrected Christ. ACMin seeks to equip students’ heads and hearts so that they may serve as His hands and feet for the purpose of Christ-centered ministry.

Where is the Athens College of Ministry located?

The college is conveniently situated in Grace Hall of Watkinsvill First United Methodist Church on the corner of Hwy 441 and New High Shoals Road. Students who wish to dual enroll in ACMin and other colleges may do so easily.

Is ACMin an accredited college?

The process of accrediation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools is a multi-year process.  The Board of Trustees is working to ensure that ACMin will be fully accredited for its graduates.

Will there be student housing at ACMin?

No. However, ACMin students will find ample available housing in the Athens area, within close vicinity of the school.
